Another eclectic mix of tracks tonight, starting off with something new from Lou Rhodes (former singer with the band Lamb), then heading off along a path with a few classics from Beth Orton, Groove Armada, Crazy P and Carly Simon. Dug deep into the vinyl crates and found Mark E’s superb Scared, followed by a tribute to the creative genius Malcolm McLaren (R.I.P.), and a classic breaks tune from Bob James. Rounding off with a favourite of mine, Morcheeba’s ‘A Well Deserved Break’ and Van Morrison’s seminal track ‘Astral Weeks’. Enjoy!
